Tell me I’m disabled and I’ll tell you where to go. No, I don’t rely on wheelchairs to get around and my arms and legs work just fine. I’m pretty much blind without my glasses, but with them I have 20/20 vision. But I have been called “disabled” in the past. Wanna know why?
Because I am dyslxic. Basically what that means is, when my brain gets tired, it transposes letters or numbers. $1.62 may appear as $6.12. I had therapy for it, and it’s much better now than when it was fist diagnosed, but it has on occasion made it difficult for me to act in the capacity of cashier. Disabled, however, I am not!
